Jimmy Fallon and The Roots with Derek Jeter’s Walkup Music

In case you missed the Captain on last night’s episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” below is a clip of something awesome that can only happen on the show because of who the house band is.

Apart from Fallon’s humor and appeal to a young audience, The Legendary Roots make up a huge part of the show and its following, and they are an asset that Jimmy has learned to utilize very well.

Fallon discusses Derek Jeter’s at-bat walk-up routine, from being (the only) player still announced by the voice of the New York Yankees, the beloved late Bob Sheppard. And, with the help of The Roots, Fallon might have given the Yankee Captain a new walk-up song to bat to.
