Inside David Chang’s World – “The Mind of a Chef”

The man is a quintessential badass.

As one of the most heralded chefs, not only in the country, but in the world, Chef David Chang has been known to push the envelope. His thirst for knowledge and innovation as far as food goes – from conception, and preparation, and ultimately, to presentation – is one of the most remarkable things that makes him the consummate professional.

A student of the game, for all intents and purposes, Chang has spent the early part of his culinary career between stints in New York and Japan, including Craft (Tom Colicchio) and Café Boulud (Daniel Boulud), honing his skills after attending the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center in New York).

Chang is this force of positive energy and creativity, and it was only right that the rest of us are treated to a look into his thought process.

As Anthony Bourdain would open Chang’s new show – ‘Enter, the Mind of a Chef.

Thanks to PBS, Season 1 successfully premiered (Sundays at 5 in New York), and the show features Chang with cooking techniques, his operations within his Momofuku empire, and him hanging out with some of the best chefs around the world.
