An Invitation to Gawad Kalinga’s Adobo Festival this Sunday

It is arguably the most infamous Filipino dish there is.

Every barangay in the homeland, from one family to another – heck, every Filipino has his or her own preference of how it should be made. Brothy or dry? Are we using chicken, pork, beef, or seafood? The options are endless. The one constant is it should have a base of garlic, vinegar and soy sauce.

We all think we make the best version.

And come Sunday, Payag Restaurant is fielding a competition to see who really has the best Adobo in New York.

Partnering with Gawad Kalinga USA, Payag will be the site for the first-ever Adobo Festival on Oct. 28th at 10:00 AM.

So come one, come all! Whether you feel like competing, or if you just want to eat.

Come hungry!
