Through its distinctive and delectable reinterpretations of local favorites, this homegrown chain has not only captured taste buds, but also ingrained itself in the hearts of patrons throughout the country. The inauguration of its flagship branch at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City on January 9th marks a significant milestone in its culinary journey.

Introduced by the Moment Group in 2013, Manam has successfully solidified its position in the Filipino food industry, boasting over 20 branches nationwide. Serving a delightful array of comforting classics while introducing captivating twists, the restaurant has become synonymous with culinary innovation for restaurant kitchens across the nation. This commitment is once again showcased through the introduction of carefully crafted dishes that coincides with the opening of their flagship branch.

Among the time-honored favorites that continue to lure patrons back are the House Crispy Sisig, Sinigang na Beef Short Rib and Watermelon, and Crispy Pansit Palabok. However, the newest branch, named “Manam at the Triangle,” introduces a fresh dimension to its culinary line-up with the presentation of several all-new, exclusive menu items.

Rediscovering Filipino Comfort

In Manam at the Triangle, the restaurant presents its House Lechon de Leche and Camias Rice, the perfect combination for a group meal. Succulent, perfectly roasted, and boasting crispy skin, the restaurant’s take on this Cebuano-styled delicacy pays homage to the national dish of the Philippines. The lechon is then complemented with rice cooked in its flavorful drippings, creating a harmonious combination.

Another delectable match to look forward to is its Lechon Manok and Tutong Longganisa Rice, which comes with a choice of Red Horse Beer or Sarsi gravy. These exclusive pairings, promising a mouthwatering experience, require pre-ordering a day in advance.

Walk-in diners can explore other novel innovations that Manam has introduced. They can feast on a whole Spatchcocked Chicken Inasal, served with lemongrass and pandan, offering a burst of Bacolod’s vibrant flavors. Seafood enthusiasts can dive into Prinilaw, a Filipino-styled ceviche featuring local freshwater prawn, topped off with its fried head. Meanwhile, the Sunog na Chopsuey, a vegetarian delight, showcases brown butter-roasted vegetables sourced from the province of Benguet.

Sips and Treats

To complete the meal, the restaurant provides a fresh set of pampalamigs, or coolers, and beverages that perfectly complement these dishes. These include mango and pineapple iced tea, calamandan shakes, and a refreshing cucumber calamandan smash. To cap off the experience on a sweet note, customers can treat themselves to new pastries such as the Floating Calamandan Island, which is baked meringue with a Calamandan crème anglaise, and a Patis Caramel Tart with South Cotobato ganache and a dark cocoa crust.

For merienda, or snack-time, Manam also brings their own signature styles of the classic Filipino rice cake, bibingka. Among the unique variations presented, the Bibingkang Rum Papa takes the spotlight, featuring a traditional rice cake infused with the rich flavors of Don Papa and Tanduay rums. This creation is then complemented by calamandan caramel, brown butter, and a scoop of mantecado ice cream. Another tempting option for merienda is the Bibingkang Tres Leches, where the rice cakes are soaked in milk. Topped with a generous layer of whipped cream and adorned with candied calamansi, this rendition elevates the traditional snack to new heights of indulgence.

In this latest culinary expansion, Manam not only pays tribute to its roots but also elevates the dining experience with its signature innovative creations that reflect the brand’s unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of Filipino comfort food. Join in the celebration, indulge in the flavors, and savor the memories as Manam continues to define the landscape of Filipino comfort dining in their newest home. •
