In 2004, thanks to a wealthy Scrubs fan, Zach Braff was able to get his script for ‘Garden State’ off the ground and on the big screen. It was a highly-touted film, and what was apparently most satisfying for Braff was that he was able to do everything he wanted and as he saw fit.
Now, with a new project in the works entitled ‘Wish I Was Here,‘ Braff has bellowed to the internet to help him fund the movie.
He explains why below. (Cameos from Jim Parsons and Donald Faison are also seen.)
After four days since publishing his crowdfunding mission, Braff has surpassed the set goal of $2 Million, and he still has 24 days to go until the funding deadline on May 24.
The numbers (as of April 29, 3:44 PM ET) – 31,506 backers and an amassed total fund pledge of $2,219,123.
