The blind auditions are coming to a close tonight with the “Best of” Episode. But, already, the most unique singing competition on television today has seen a strong bullpen of talented vocalists, and a favorite has yet to stand out (unlike the first season, when you knew there was no way the guy who sang ‘Time After Time’ would lose.).
‘The Voice,’ in only its third year, has garnered a huge following that rivals ‘Idol’ and Simon Cowell’s ‘X-Factor.’ But what separates the Voice is the unique audition format that it has. It cannot get any more fair than how NBC’s Tuesday prime time juggernaut does it – the four coaches/judges comprised of Adam Levine (Maroon 5), Cee-Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, and CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton.
It will be really interesting to see how the competition progresses.Below, you can check out a few of the many contending vocalists, which actually includes Filipino YouTube star JR Aquino.
Personally, I enjoyed these three performances from Brian Scartocci, Suzanna Choffel (who is also quite the looker), and Mycle Wastman with his rendition of an Al Green classic. It was just superb.

It’s so stacked, there’s even some who auditioned that were good, but did not make it.
Remember the dude that sang “Cupid Shuffle?”
But, there’s also the likes of Dez Duron, who was rejected last season, but came back strong this year.
