Daring Cavs Fan Rushes the Court with a Message for LeBron

So it turns out not everyone in Cleveland totally hates LeBron James.

In tonight’s historic 98-95 win over the Cavaliers, the Miami Heat extend their epic winning streak of 24 straight victories, inching closer towards the record set by the 1971-1972 Lakers for the regular season at 33.

At the moment, LeBron and the Heat are in second place after getting past the previous second best record, set by the Houston Rockets in 2007-2008 season (22). This has been an epic run towards their title defense, as Miami looks to repeat as champs this season.

Would you like to see this in 2014?

There are a few things tonight, though, that made the night extra special. The last few games have been harder for the Heat to win, especially tonight when they had to overcome a 27-point deficit. For his efforts, James posts a triple double with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Just another day at the office.

LeBron also marks tonight as the 10th time he faces his old team, with a winning record of 8-1 in favor of the Heat prior to tonight’s contest.

And, of course, perhaps just as anticipated as his last free-agency tour, King James will be the focus of the sports world in 2014 when his contract with the Heat expires.

Earlier this season, there have been various rumors and speculations with where James will end up if he doesn’t re-sign with the reigning champions. The Los Angeles Lakers, who will have a lot of cap space (perhaps post-Kobe Bryant) to accommodate him, are a possible destination, as well as his former team in Cleveland. He still calls the place home, being an Akron, Ohio native.

Oh, and did I mention that there was this nutty fan who stormed the court tonight?

In an impassioned move of pure craziness, a Cavs fan dared enter the court in the middle of the game donning a shirt that said “We Miss You, LeBron, Come Back in 2014.” It was as if the game wasn’t interesting enough.

So, thank you, crazy fan, for adding the cherry on top of this one!
