Kobe Bryant’s Message to Manila

Partnering with Lenovo, Kobe sets his calendar for an August 12 trip to the Philippines.

“Are you ready for me, Manila,” asks the Black Mamba.

He needs no introduction to Filipinos back home. A regular visitor in the summers of NBA offseasons, Kobe Bryant has been a frequent flyer to Asia, and Manila has been one of his go-to destinations. He is beloved in the Philippines, and has recently left Pinoys this quick hello:

Teaming up with Chinese multinational corp heavyweight Lenovo earlier this year, the Laker star has sponsored their tech products, namely the Lenovo P780 and now, the K900. Once upon a time, Lenovo was merely known for their strudy laptops that came relatively cheap, but have began a marketing overhaul to lure in a bigger audience for their prducts. They have recently created a new campaign surrounding Bryant, including a special commercial only for the Philippine market.

The K900 hit the Philippine market in mid-July and Kobe began the “Walang Iwanan” campaign for the smartphone.

See the commercial below, as well as a behind-the-scenes look.
